The Neil Ellis Groenekloof Syrah 2022 showcases a vibrant hue in the glass, exuding enticing aromas of violets, cherries, and ripe raspberries, complemented by whispering spicy nuances. Handverlesenes Traubengut, wurden sanft gequetscht und die Fermentierung auf der Haut dann in offenen Fermentern mit vorsichtigem Umwälzen gewährleistet, damit Farbe, Geschmack und Tannine optimal extrahiert werden konnten. Die malolaktische Gärung fand in französischen Eichenfoudres statt, anschließend reifte der Wein 14 Monate lang in französischen 500 Liter Fässern, von denen 5 % Neuholz sowie zwei Jahre alte und ältere Fässer ausmachten.
