Pinotage gedeiht unter trockenen Anbaubedingungen besonders gut und bringt kleine Beeren mit hervorragender Aromenkonzentration hervor. Die Trauben stammen von Buschreben aus der Region Paarl und wurden bei 25° Balling gelesen, um einen weichen, fruchtbetonten Wein zu erzeugen. Um einen niedrigeren Alkoholgehalt zu erreichen und gleichzeitig die Aromaintensität zu bewahren, wurden 30 % des Weins während der Gärung entalkoholisiert. Der sechsmonatige Ausbau mit französischen Eichenholzstäben verleiht dem Wein zusätzliche Komplexität und feine Würznoten.
