Information about "Rall Cinsault 2024"
The Rall Cinsault 2024 presents a captivating complexity, showcasing vibrant red fruit and enveloping tannins derived from the stems. A refreshing acidity enhances its balance, while the wine's serious structure reveals layers of plum, spiced cherries, and wild strawberries both in the bouquet and on the palate, culminating in a crisp finish. Already delightful to drink, this wine will undoubtedly benefit from some aging in the bottle.
Donovan Rall is the Winemaker of the Year 2025 – Tim Atkin Report 2025
The grapes for the Rall Cinsault originate from a blend of old vines in Darling, planted in 1982 (fermentation in concrete vessels using a submerged cap), and a vineyard on Paardeberg (semi-carbonic fermentation). Natural fermentation occurs using 100% whole grapes, followed by eight months of maturation in 3000-liter foudres and older small French oak barrels for the Swartland component.
