The Remhoogte Vantage Pinotage showcases an inviting intense ruby hue that captures light with a striking brilliance. With the first swirl, delicate aromas swirl from the glass, offering a bouquet reminiscent of a blooming garden. Notes of violet gently drift, intertwined with the vibrant essence of red currants and cherries. Subtle hints of licorice add depth and intrigue, while a whisper of black tea lingers in the background. Each sip envelops the palate in a symphony of flavors. Die Trauben wurden von Hand gelesen und bei Ankunft im Kellereibetrieb mit großer Sorgfalt sortiert. Der Großteil des Weins wurde spontan in 7000-Liter-Französischen Eichenholzfässern vergoren. 30% der Stiele wurden wieder den Fässer beigefügt. Dieser Anteil verbrachte 14 Tage auf den Schalen, bevor er abgelassen wurde. Ein kleiner Bestandteil (15% im Endwein) wurde mittels Kohlensäuremaischung vergoren, was eine schöne Frische mit sich bringt und die Frucht im Wein hervorhebt. Die Reifung erfolgte für 18 Monate in 225-Liter-Fässern aus französischem Eichenholz. 30% neues Eichenholz wurde verwendet, der Rest bestand aus zweit- und drittbefüllten Fässern. Der Wein wurde dann in einen großen Betontank umgefüllt, wo er sechs Monate lang ruhte, bevor er abgefüllt wurde. Ungeklärt und unfiltriert.
