Rikus Neethling Red Blend captivates with a bold fusion of dark, luscious berry aromas, featuring mulberry, blackberry, elderberry, and blackcurrant that contribute to its remarkable color intensity. Complementing this vibrant character are layers of plum and nectarine, accentuated by bright notes of red currants, wild cherries, and dried cranberries. Secondary characteristics are elegantly subdued within this expressive fruit spectacle, while judicious oak aging imparts a delightful hint of spice, enriched with warm undertones of cinnamon, dark chocolate, and licorice. This dry wine is crafted with well-structured, ripe tannins that cradle the sides of the palate, delivering a pleasing savory bitterness. Full-bodied yet refreshingly enjoyable when slightly chilled, the wine's higher alcohol content is balanced by glycerin, creating an impression of sweetness that harmonizes with the tannin's texture for a silkier mouthfeel. Treatment in the cellar The three different wines were made in separate batches and barrel matured in French oak barrels for 14 months, before being blended together to be bottled.

Toller Wein zu Wild!

Zuerst hat mich nur das Label angesprochen, weil mein Mann Jäger ist und wir viel Wild essen. Zum Reh, war dieser Blend wie die Faust aufs Auge! Sehr ausdrucksstark und beerig!
