A vivid garnet red, the Rust en Vrede Estate Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon captivates with aromas of ripe red and black plum, layered with hints of dark chocolate, pencil shavings, and fragrant cedar, showcasing the classic complexity characteristic of Helderberg Cabernets. The palate is impeccably structured, boasting a fresh acidity and robust tannins. Flavors of cherry from the nose resonate on the palate, beautifully complemented by intricate notes of cassis, blackberry, mocha, and a delicate touch of dried wild herbs.
Hergestellt ausschließlich aus Trauben aus eigenem Anbau, die von Hand gelesen und sortiert werden. Die Ernteparzellen und Klone werden separat vinifiziert. Die geernteten Trauben werden entrappt, zerkleinert und in offene Gärtanks gepumpt, wo sie eine 21-tägige Mazerationsphase durchlaufen, einschließlich einer sieben-tägigen Gärung mit2-4-mal täglichem Umpumpen und manuellem Unterstoßen. Fassreifung in 100 % französischen 300-Liter-Eichenfässern (20 % neue Eiche) für 18 Monate.
