The Sadie Family Columella Magnum 2022 reveals a vibrant bouquet of aromas, displaying an engaging interplay of minerality, herbaceous notes, and a beautiful spiciness with pepper undertones. This full-bodied wine is characterized by its splendid structure on the palate, complemented by a remarkable acid balance and a refreshing clarity. A masterful blend of Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Syrah/Shiraz, Carignan, Tinta Barocca, and Grenache Noir, this wine is a tribute to the Swartland region, crafted by renowned winemaker Eben Sadie.
The wine matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, with 10% new wood. After this period, it was transferred to large oval casks (foudres) for an additional year on the fine lees.
