The Sadie Family Die Ouwingerdreeks Kokerboom is inspired by the striking Kokerboom trees adorning the vineyards established in 1930. A masterful blend of Semillon Blanc and the rarer Semillon Gris, this wine offers a captivating bouquet of peach, delicate floral notes, fennel, lemongrass, almonds, and ripe tropical fruits. On the palate, it reveals a creamy texture, harmoniously balanced with zesty lemon-lime freshness and a subtle salinity, culminating in an impressively lingering finish. A true revelation!
Der weiße und rote Semillon wurden zur gleichen Zeit gelesen und zusammen gepresst. Der kostbare Saft wird von der Korbpresse gewonnen, welcher dann in alte Fässer gefüllt wird und der natürlich „spontanen“ Gärung überlassen wird. Der Wein reifte anschließend 12 Monate in zuvor belegten Holzfässern auf der Hefe, bevor er ungefiltert und unverfeinert auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
