Located just 2 km from the Atlantic Ocean, this area is one of the coolest in Swartland while remaining extraordinarily dry, with an average annual rainfall of around 300 mm. The name Ou Wingerdreeks translates to 'old vine,' highlighting a series of wines made from special ancient vines of the Cape. Skerpioen means scorpion in Afrikaans.
