The Savage Red 2023, crafted by winemaker Duncan Savage, is a pure expression of Syrah from South Africa's Coastal Region, overflowing with richness and depth. Lush, ripe vineyards envelop the palate with delightful notes of fine spices, along with gentle plum and berry fruit. Aromas of tobacco leaves, incense, and cloves intertwine with a spiced core of blackberries, plums, and tapenade, completing this generous red wine. The grapes were vinified whole-cluster, followed by maturation in large oak barrels (no new oak).
