The Spier Seaward Pinotage 2023 captivates with its deep ruby hue, gracefully accented by a violet rim. The nose reveals an enticing bouquet of dark cherries and ripe mulberries, enhanced by subtle hints of spice and vanilla that elevate anticipation for that first sip. Das Traubengut wurde handverlesen und bei Ankunft in der Kellerei komplett entrappt und einer zweitägigen Kaltquellphase in Tanks aus Edelstahl unterzogen. Der Gärprozess dauerte nach Zugabe ausgewählter Hefekulturen 15 Tage lang an. Nach Abschluss der Gärung wurde der Wein für die malolaktische Fermentierung in eine Fässerkombination aus 80% französischer sowie 20% amerikanischer Eiche gefüllt, in denen der Wein anschließend 14 Monate lang reifte.
