The Survivor Reserve Chenin Blanc 2022 boasts an alluring golden hue with a slight green shimmer in the glass. Its complex bouquet is filled with aromas of ripe yellow fruits, lemongrass, citrus, and pineapple, accentuated by a hint of toasted almonds. On the palate, this wine reveals richness and depth with a medium-bodied, creamy texture enlivened by zesty acidity, promising remarkable freshness for years to come. The long, lingering finish showcases a beautiful interplay of flavors, leaving a lasting impression.
Die Trauben wurden von Hand bei optimaler Reife bei 23° Balling geerntet. Die Ernte erfolgte in den frühen Morgenstunden, um sicherzustellen, dass die Trauben kühl im Weinkeller ankamen. Die Trauben wurden am ganzen Bund gepresst, entrappt und wieder sanft gepresst, wobei der Most über Nacht abgesetzt wurde. 60 % des Weins fermentierten auf natürliche Weise in neuen 400-Liter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche, der Rest wurde mit Hefe inokuliert und in zweiten und dritten Füllungen von 400-Liter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche vergoren. Der Wein reifte 11 Monate im Fass, bevor er gemischt und abgefüllt wurde.
