The Winery of Good Hope Mountainside Syrah is a remarkably fresh Stellenbosch Syrah, characterized by its elegant nuances of fynbos and lavender, complemented by a compelling blend of ripe red fruits such as plums and spices. Its grippy yet smooth texture and restrained aroma profile promise a delectable tasting experience. Unlike many often sweet and overtly fruity Shiraz wines, the Mountainside Shiraz presents a more subtle expression.
Die Trauben für diesen Shiraz wurden handgelesen, gequetscht, entrappt und in großen Tanks aus Edelstahl einer mehrtägigen Kaltquellphase auf der Haut unterzogen. Es folgte eine kühle und spontan eintretende Gärung in Stahl. Anschließend reiften 50% des Weins 14 Monate lang in dritt-, viert- sowie fünftbefüllten Fässern aus französischer Eiche. Anschließend wurde der in Stahl gereifte sowie der in französischer Eiche gereifte Wein verschnitten und auf die Flasche gefüllt.
