Information about "Thelema Sutherland Chardonnay 2022"

The Thelema Sutherland Chardonnay pours a vibrant straw yellow, enticing with an aromatic bouquet of zesty citrus, complemented by rich creamy oak and a hint of spiciness on the palate. This wine boasts a refreshingly crisp finish that captivates the senses. A stunningly complex example of a 'cool climate' Chardonnay, this offering is crafted by Gyles Webb, a revered name in South African viticulture.

Chardonnay enthusiasts will find much to love in this elegant creation, which perfectly encapsulates the character of the Elgin region.

Treatment in the cellar

The wine underwent both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels of 228 L capacity. It was aged on the lees for ten months, with regular stirring (bâttonage) to enhance complexity.
