Founded as a pioneering winery in Stellenbosch, Thelema Mountain Vineyards has ventured into the Cool-Climate region of Elgin with Sutherland Vineyards, established by owner and winemaker Gyles Webb. Crafted from the finest vineyard plots, the Sutherland Reserve Collection pays tribute to Gyles's cherished four granddaughters. This particular wine honors Lisa Rose Webb, the fourth granddaughter, reflecting the grace and vivacity emblematic of her personality.
Ein großer Anteil des Traubenguts wurde ungequetscht als ganze Beere fermentiert, um erstklassige Fruchtnuancen im Wein zu erhalten. Während des Gärungsprozesses wurde die Maische zweimal täglich umgepumpt. Um eine optimale Balance von Eichenholz-Noten und Tanninen im Wein zu gewährleisten, wurde der Wein in ältere Eichenholzfässer gefüllt, wo er 17 Monate reifte, bevor er auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
