The Thelema Sutherland Syrah stands as a distinguished alternative to the renowned Thelema Shiraz. This wine emanates delightful aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and plums, enriched by a hint of black pepper. On the palate, it reveals an elegant and flavorful complexity with a remarkable structure, accented by subtle notes of cedar, graphite, and smoked meat. The finish is long and lingering, showcasing a persistent spiciness of dark fruits and white pepper, perfectly reflecting its coastal origin.
Die Trauben für diesen wunderbaren Shiraz wurden per Hand gelesen, entrappt, leicht angequetscht und dann in Tanks aus Edelstahl gepumpt, wo die Maische fünf Tage verbrachte, bevor es zum Pressen weiterging. Die malolaktische Fermentation fand im Fass statt. Der Wein reifte 18 Monate lang in 30 % neuer französischer Eiche und zu 80 % in dritt- und viertbefüllten Eichenfässern.
