The Tokara Reserve Collection Syrah dazzles with its deep violet hue and ruby rim, captivating the senses with an intricate bouquet of ripe blueberries, blackberries, and subtle hints of figs and black pepper. Layered aromas of cedar wood and licorice entwine with floral notes of violet, creating a complex aromatic profile. On the palate, its silky texture is both refined and opulent, showcasing rich dark fruit flavors that culminate in a smooth, chalky finish accented by a touch of spice. Sourced from Tokara's steepest and most rugged terroir, this Syrah expresses the unique character of its origin, delivering an extraordinarily expressive wine.
The grapes are hand-harvested from a low-yield vineyard. 25% of the berries are added whole to the fermenter, while the remainder is destemmed and crushed. Natural fermentation occurs in upright foudres, followed by ten months of aging on the lees and an additional eleven months in barrique before bottling.
