The Van Loveren Rhino Run Chenin Blanc showcases a delightful balance of fruit-forward character and subtle oak influence. Dedicated to the conservation of the white rhino, this sulfite-free wine exuberates inviting aromas of ripe peaches and fragrant floral notes. The grapes were handpicked in the early morning. Following alcoholic fermentation in 100% oak staves, the wine aged with oak contact for an additional five months before being bottled fresh and fruit-driven. To create a sulfite-free wine, the Rhino Run series employs a South African tannin derived from the endemic Honeybush plant, which flourishes only in the southwestern regions of South Africa. This plant contains natural antioxidants that effectively protect the wine without the need for added sulfur.
