The Vondeling Baldrick Shiraz 2022 showcases a rich, deep violet hue and opens with enchanting aromas of ripe plums, dark mulberries, fragrant cherry blossoms, and violets, accented by delicate notes of cinnamon and pepper. On the palate, it is exceptionally smooth with youthful yet well-rounded tannins, delivering delicious hints of ripe blueberries, dark olives, and soft spices. With its medium body and vibrant character, this wine offers a compelling experience for all Shiraz enthusiasts.
Die Trauben wurden kühl aufgehoben, zum Teil entrappt und gequetscht, und fermentierten bei konstanten 22°C in offenen Tanks. Dabei wurden für den Gärungsprozess keine kommerziellen Hefekulturen verwendet. Während der Gärung wurde der Wein mehrere Male per Hand umgerührt. Diese Methode ermöglicht bessere Kontrolle. Nach Abschluss der Gärung ging es in die traditionelle Korbpresse woraufhin der Wein ohne Umweg in zweit- sowie drittbelegte Fässer aus französischer Eiche gefüllt wurde. Der Wein reifte über ein Jahr lang in französischer Eiche.
