The Vondeling Barrel Selection Merlot 2022 dazzles with its vibrant dark ruby hue, enticing the senses with a bouquet of black cherries, sweet raspberries, and aromatic lavender blossoms. On the palate, its silky smooth texture is complemented by intense nuances of red berry fruits, licorice, and a delicate earthiness, rounded off with remarkably velvety tannins. The finish is mineral, long-lasting, and pleasantly dry.
Das Traubengut wurde entrappt aber nicht gequetscht und fermentierte bei kühlen Temperaturen, um so ein breites Spektrum an spritziger Frucht und Würze ohne schwere Tannine im Wein zu erhalten. Nach der Gärung wurde der Wein in 300 L Fässer aus französischer Eiche umgefüllt. Die malolaktische Fermentierung fand im Fass statt. Der Wein verbrachte eine Gesamtzeit von 18 Monaten in französischer Eiche bevor er verschnitten und zum fertigen Genuss in die Flasche abgefüllt wurde.
