The Wine & Soul Quinta da Manoella Vinhas Velhas is a remarkable wine, showcasing a full-bodied character and exceptional elegance. On the nose, it reveals spicy, intense, and fresh notes of cherry, raspberry, and native herbs. A purity of fantastic aromas with hints of forest fruits emanates from the glass, reflecting beautifully on the palate. It possesses a delightful balance between vibrant, notable acidity and robust tannins, culminating in a long finish.
This is another triumph from Sandra Tavares and her project, Wine & Soul. The grapes come from Quinta da Manoella, which has been in the family of Jorge Serôdio Borges, a partner in the project, since 1838. The more than 20 different grape varieties in this wine are over 100 years old, contributing to its unique quality.
Die Trauben wurden per Hand gelesen, sortiert und entrappt und danach in Stein Lagares traditionell mit Füßen zertreten. Nach der Gärung reifte der Wein für 20 Monate in 90% neuen Fässern aus französische Eiche.
