Displaying a delicate pale straw gold, the Zandvliet Chardonnay enchants the senses with an expressive bouquet of nectarines, oranges, and peaches, complemented by subtle hints of oatmeal and buttery toffee. The palate is enveloped in a creamy sensation, where delightful nuances of restrained wood aging gracefully merge, culminating in a smooth, elegant finish.
Das Traubengut wurde einer 24-stündigen Kaltquellphase auf der Haut unterzogen, bevor der Saft abgelassen und die Schalen leicht abgepresst wurden. Der Saft wurde unter Zugabe ausgewählter Hefen in Fässer gefüllt, wo der Wein während der gesamten Gärung regelmäßig aufgerührt wurde, um eine schöne Komplexität und Fülle in den Wein zu übertragen (batonnage). Auch die malolaktische Fermentierung fand ihren Abschluss im Fass, bevor der Wein sechs Monate lang in französischen Barriques reifen durfte.
