Vineyard Bacalhôa – Vinhos de Portugal (J.P. Vinhos)
The head office of Bacalhôa - Vinhos de Portugal is located in the Azeitão region, in the heart of the Setúbal peninsula.
Since 1997, the Quinta da Bassaqueira, as the name suggests, has also been the processing site for many of Bacalhôa's wines. Important processes are carried out here, from the processing of the grapes to the bottling of the wine. At the same time, the estate is also home to the central warehouse, from where the wines are shipped to all over the world. In addition to the various production facilities, the Quinta da Bassaqueira has a beautiful garden landscape with countless sculptures, ruins and many other works of art. Other farms that belong to Bacalhôa are the Quinta dos Loridos - where, among other things, the grapes for the Espumantes grow - the Quinta da Bacalhôa with the Palácio da Bacalhôa, eponym for the top wine of Bacalhôa and hostel for the art collection of the company owner, and finally the Quinta do Carmo. The Quinta do Carmo, formerly under the management of the Domaines de Rothschild, was fully taken over by Bacalhôa - Vinhos de Portugal in 2008. The unmistakable style of the Quinta do Carmo wines will continue under the new owner.
