Nestled in the picturesque Blaauwklippen Valley, in the world-famous Stellenbosch wine region, the 120 hectare estate enchants with ancient citrus groves, water features and fragrant lavender beds.
Waterford is modelled on the attractive terracotta design of the classic Bordeaux Chateaus in France. At the centre of the magnificent courtyard is the Waterford Fountain, immortalised in the Waterford Wine label, which represents a fundamental element of the Waterford philosophy. Waterford's aim is to maintain its position as a world-class winery through consistent quality and service - which it has done with great success! The winery was awarded the title of "Best in Wine Tourism Services" by the organization "Great Wine Capitals" in 2012.
Winery master and co-owner Kevin Arnold brings 20 years of experience in wine production in the Helderberg region to the winery. Before he fulfilled his dream of owning his own winery by founding Waterford, he worked for nine years as a winemaker on Delheim and 10 years on Rust en Vrede. Waterford wines are celebrated worldwide and literally showered with awards and prizes. The estate's flagship, "The Jem", and the famous "Kevin Arnold Shiraz" make wine lovers' hearts beat faster - world class at its best!
