Rosés from South Africa are often created from red grapes in the style of a Blanc de Noir, but rosé wines are also made from both red and white grapes.Exceptionally popular are rosé wines made from South Africa's red national grape, Pinotage, which gives the popular Pinotage rosés their unmistakable colour.
