Wine for barbecue
The grilling season is open and the question arises, which wine goes with the grilled food! Whether with grilled vegetables, fish, shellfish or meat, wine is a great companion to grilled food.
We recommend the crisp fresh whites with salads, fish, seafood or even poultry. A rosé is also perfect with salads and side dishes! Please be sure to chill well! With chicken breast, turkey or fish such as trout or char, a fruity Semillon or Chenin Blanc are the perfect choice.
To the meat varieties, with hearty marinades rather fit the red wines. Fruity red wines taste best slightly chilled, even in summer.
Pinot Noir we can imagine very well with rump steaks, fillet or other steak variants, prepared hearty or with herbs.
Also a fine olive oil should not be missing for grilling, for stipping, for marinating or for a delicious dressing!
Red wines are more suited to meat dishes with savoury marinades. Fruity red wines also taste best slightly chilled in summer. We can imagine Pinot Noir pairing very well with rump steaks, fillets or other steak varieties that have been prepared heartily or with herbs. A fine olive oil is also a must for barbecuing, for dipping, marinating or for a delicious dressing!
