We recommend a good red wine with lamb, which can also be aged in wood, as the two harmonise perfectly. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, an exciting cuvée or a powerful Pinotage - anything is possible. Touriga Nacional would be the Portuguese answer to lamb.
