Just one hour east of Cape Town is the high and cool Elgin region, nestled in the ancient sandstone Hottentots Holland Mountains.

Traditionally dedicated to apple growing, the Elgin now produces not only apples but also award-winning wines with unique fruit and elegance, especially grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Shiraz thrive in this late-ripening and cooler terroir.
